A game of two halves

Kirton Hall Lake – 30/1/16

Peg 15 at Kirton today. Was hoping to get 16 which seems to be sweet at the mo, but I didn’t get my shit together in time this morning. Loving my weekend lie-ins!

From 10am till 2 there really was nothing doing, not even a shot on goal, but then I found my spot (switched to banded pellet more-like) and the right hand rod screamed off shortly after, resulting in a beautiful little 7lb common. Back out again on the same spot and we’re in again 15 mins later. This time an 8lb common. Out again within a few feet of the last two casts and it’s a hat-trick, sort of (see pics).

he shoots, he scores!

 Top corner!

… and its bobbled in off his shin
